2. Overview: what data we process

• Account / magic link: Email, session data, optionally IP and user-agent of the session
• Newsletter: Email, confirmation (double opt-in), time of signup
• Presets & alerts: filters and notification preferences you save on your account
• Server logs: usual connection data on access (IP, time, path, user-agent) with hosting on Google Cloud (EU)
• Product analytics (optional): usage events via PostHog (EU), only with consent

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Account, presets, alerts: Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR (contract / pre-contractual measures) and lit. f (operation and security of the service)
• Newsletter: Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR (consent; revocable at any time)
• Server logs / security: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR
• Product analytics: Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG (consent to non-essential storage/access on end devices)

4. Account (magic link)

You can sign in with email and a magic link. We store the email and session information so that presets and alerts work. The sign-in link is delivered by email (see processor Resend).

5. Newsletter

Signup happens with double opt-in. You only receive product updates about MoveKlar. Unsubscribe and deletion: informal email to contact@moveklar.de.

6. Cookies and analytics (PostHog)

Technically necessary storage for login/session may happen without consent (§ 25 (2) TDDDG). Optional product analytics with PostHog (EU hosting, eu.i.posthog.com) only runs if you consent. Without consent we start no analytics and set no analytics cookies.

Product analytics is not currently configured.

7. Recipients / processors

• Google Cloud — hosting of the website and server logs in data centers in the European Union
• Resend — delivery of magic-link and confirmation emails (if configured)
• PostHog — optional analytics (only with consent), EU instance

Disclosure to authorities only if we are legally required to.

8. Storage duration

We store account and preset data as long as the account exists or until you delete them. Newsletter data until revocation. Confirmation tokens only until confirmation or expiry. Server logs only as long as the host retains them for operation and security. Analytics data according to your consent and the PostHog settings; after revocation we stop collection.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (where applicable) as well as the right to revoke any given consent at any time with effect for the future. Write to contact@moveklar.de.

You can also complain to a supervisory authority. For Baden-Württemberg: The State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg (LfDI BW), baden-wuerttemberg.datenschutz.de.

10. No obligation to provide

You don't have to create an account or subscribe to the newsletter to use the public comparison. Without an account, presets and alerts are unavailable.

11. Affiliate / partner links

Some links to platform signups may trigger a commission. Tracking parameters are usually passed to the target provider. Their data processing is governed by the privacy notices of the respective platform.

12. Changes

We adjust this policy when processing or law changes. The current version is always available at /privacy.
